The Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs’ mission is to ensure the full range of health, education, employment, social, and business programs and services are accessible to the District’s Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community. We continue to play the crucial role of liaison, working with all levels of government and the API community to achieve our mission.

OAPIA Agency Profile Video
The Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (OAPIA) coordinated with the DC Office of Cable Television (OCT) to produce a short video on OAPIA’s 20 years serving the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community. OAPIA Director Soohyun Julie Koo and several community leaders provide perspectives on OAPIA’s impact on the API community and District government. The video also contains information about the API population in DC. |
